Get the Look: Sleek Bun
The SAG Awards are known for being a night of glamour and elegance, and this year's event was no exception. One standout hair look was created by celeb stylist and Aquage ambassador Laura Polko, for actress Haley lu Richardson know for her role in HBO's White Lotus series.
We love an elegant, but modern bun! If you want to recreate this look at home, here's how:
Step 1: Using a comb, create a middle part in your hair that runs from your forehead to the crown of your head.
Step 2: Next create an intersecting baby part. To create this baby part, make a diagonal part on each side of the middle part, about 2 inches from the front hairline. Use the corner of your eye as a guide to create a triangle. Clip the hair away and repeat on the other side.
Step 3: Using a fine-tooth comb, brush all the hair that is not part of the baby part and middle part back toward the nape of the neck.
Step 4: Apply a generous amount of Aquage's Transforming Paste and Defining Gel to your palm, work them into the hair, and brush the hair back with a fine-tooth comb. Allow the hair to set for one minute.
Step 5: Then, apply more Transforming Paste and Defining Gel to the clipped pieces at the front of the face. Next, comb these pieces back to meet the rest of the hair.
Step 6: Tie all the hair into a bun, leaving the ends of the hair out, directing them up and out.
Step 7: As you tie the hair, create smoothness by misting Aquage's Finishing Spray. Then proceed to spraying it on the ends left out out of the bun and run a flat iron through them.
Step 8: Finish with Aquage's Freezing Spray to ensure that the hair stays in place all day long.
