Forecast: Frizz-Free Beach Waves

It’s Frizz-Free Month and we want to help you create frizz-free beach waves to close out summer with beautiful hair. No matter your hair type, you can rock beach waves. It’s all about finding the right product to bring out your inner mermaid.

Step One

Wash hair with your Aquage shampoo of choice. Salvage your stressed-out summer strands by using our 60-Second Restorative Mask in place of conditioner to instantly nourish and hydrate thirsty hair. This helps create a smoother, softer base.

Step Two

Choose the right products for your hair type to nail those perfectly tousled, effortless chic beach waves on or off the beach.

For Fine Hair:

1. Prep damp or dry hair with our Sea Salt Texturizing Spray.
2. Be sure to get the roots if you need extra lift.
3. Fold a long silk scarf in half and place around your head like a headband to help fight frizz!
4. Braid your hair into two braids on either side of your head with one side of the scarf as a section in each braid.
5. In the am, gently undo your braids and you’ll wake up to waves full of body and movement.
6. Spray your finished look with Beyond Shine for frizz-free beach waves.

For Coarse or Frizzy Hair that is Curly:

1. You need a double dose of moisture to soften the hair. Use our Silkening Oil Treatment to help soften and prep the hair.
2. Make sure the majority of the product is in the mid-section.
3. Emulsify our Curl Defining Crème in between palms.
4. Apply to hair in quarter size amounts.
5. Let hair air dry.
6. To avoid frizz, do not touch or scrunch strands while drying.
7. Once dry spritz your hair with Dry Texture Spray in short even strokes to create shine and keep out frizz.

For Coarse or Frizzy Hair that is Straight:

1. You need a double dose of moisture to soften the hair. Use our Silkening Oil Treatment to help soften and prep the hair.
2. Make sure the majority of the product is in the mid-section.
3. Emulsify our Straightening Ultragel in between palms.
4. Apply to hair in nickel size amounts and comb through.
5. Blow dry hair with a brush.
6. Take random section, and use a 1” inch barrel curling iron to add a bend at the middle of hair’s length and glide down to smooth out ends for undone waves. Let cool.
7. Once dry spritz your hair with Dry Texture Spray in short even strokes to create shine and keep out frizz.

Step Three

Step outside and enjoy your beautiful beach waves with an Aperol Spritz at a rooftop spot or a Margarita poolside. Soak up all the sun, fun and end of summer vibes!
